I am a native Arizonian. I was born and raised in Phoenix. I am married with one dog named Picasso and a cat named Pepe. They are currently my only children. I spend time with them, my three nephews, and my husband’s very large extended family whenever possible.
It was a long journey to become an educator because I had a slight detour in nursing. I realized, very early on, the aspect I enjoyed most about nursing was teaching. So, I started my journey to a teacher in 2011. In 2017, I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education for Biology from Arizona State University. I taught middle school in the Phoenix area for two years. In August of 2020, I had the opportunity to teach high school. I taught high school then took time off to complete my master’s degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University which I completed in December of 2022.
I look forward to continuing to teach science and use my love of science to spark curiosity within my students.
