Business Management I

Business Management I surveys an array of topics and concepts related to the field of business. This course introduces business concepts such as banking and finance, the role of government in business, consumerism, credit, investment, and management. It provides a brief overview of the U.S. economic system, small businesses, and corporate organizations. Students are exposed to the varied opportunities in administration, accounting, management, and related fields. 

Fashion Design

The Fashion Design course is designed to prepare students with knowledge and skills associated with apparel design, apparel production, as well as apparel selection, purchase, sales, and merchandising. This course helps prepare students for employment in various entry-level positions in the apparel industry.

Freshman Success

Freshman Success is a course which prepares incoming ninth graders with the skills and habits of a mind necessary to make a successful academic, social, and emotional transition to high school and post-secondary endeavors. Students develop strategies to increase their study skills, time management, listening, questioning techniques, independent thinking, critical reading, effective written & oral communication, and continuous learning. 

Introductory Music & Audio Production

The Introductory Music & Audio Production course teaches students the technical knowledge and skills aligned to the production of sound recordings, film and video productions, live sound productions, broadcasts, and video game productions or mixed media. Students explore the history and societal and economic impact of the music and audio production industry.

Law & Public Safety

The Law & Public Safety course emphasizes constitutional as well as practical law while providing opportunities for students to investigate topics such as the history and theory of law enforcement and the legal system, including criminal law and juvenile justice. Additionally, this course allows students to explore careers in law and public safety and exposes them to a variety of pathway options.

Sports Medicine

The Sports Medicine course is designed for students interested in allied health care such as athletic training, medical assisting, emergency medical technician, nursing, physical therapy doctor, and many others. It approves a foundation in allied health services including administrative and clinical skills, medical ethics, HIPPAA, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, abbreviations, acronyms, symbols, patient scenarios, OSHA standards, first aid, and CPR. Students explore careers in health-related fields.
