My name is Ms. Joannet Patun-og. I have been in the teaching profession for 20 years. This is my 2nd year at Casa Grande Union High School. I currently teach Investigative Science.
I am an exchange teacher from the Philippines. I earned a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with a major in Biology at Bulacan State University, Philippines, and took my Master of Art in Education with a major in Biology at the same university. I taught Biology, Earth Science, and Human Anatomy & Physiology at Ganado High School, Arizona, from 2013-2017, and Grade 8 Science from 2017-2018. I went back to my home country in 2018 and stayed until June of 2021. There, I taught Biology and Physical Science at University of the East, Philippines. I was hired by the Casa Grande Union High School District in February of 2021. Right now, I am happy and consider myself privileged to be part of the Cougar family.
I am very excited to start another year at CGUHS and meet young scientists as well as working with my colleagues and the community. Loving my job and accepting teaching opportunities here in the United States is what keeps me going.
