Welcome to Casa Grande Union High School! My name is Ben Dague, and I am thrilled to be a part of the CGUHS community since 2022. As a highly qualified music educator with a master's degree in Performance on the Classical Guitar, I am passionate about music and dedicated to spreading the love of music to my students.
Since joining CGUHS, the guitar program has seen tremendous growth and success. We now offer three levels of guitar instruction: Guitar I, Guitar II, and Guitar III. This growth is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students and the support of the school community.
In my classes, students not only learn how to play the guitar but also gain a deep understanding of music theory, history, and performance techniques. They are encouraged to explore a wide range of musical genres and styles, from classical to pop, and to express themselves creatively through their music.
I believe that music education is essential for the holistic development of students. It helps to improve cognitive skills, enhance creativity, boost self-confidence, and foster teamwork and collaboration. By participating in the CGUHS guitar program, students not only develop their musical abilities but also gain valuable life skills that will serve them well in their future endeavors.
I am excited to continue to work with the talented CGUHS students and to see the guitar program flourish even further. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my passion for music with the next generation of musicians and help them discover the joy and beauty of making music.
