Mrs. Amy Harrison graduated with a Bachelor’s in Art from McDaniel College in 2010. She spent the next ten years in coffee shops, managing local and corporate stores, slinging lattes, and roasting beans. She stumbled into teaching in early 2020 and has been in love with the profession ever since. Mrs. Harrison comes from a family of life-long educators – it was about time she joined the ranks! She is passionate about building community and inspiring excellence in those around her. Her weeks are spent dedicated to creating a safe learning environment for her students, and her weekends are spent writing poetry for literary magazines around the country.
Mrs. Harrison spent two years teaching English in junior high before promoting to English 9. She is excited to be teaching The Modern Classroom Project. This method of learning utilizes a blending learning strategy in a safe-paced environment for students to work toward a mastery-based level. This will allow for additional one-on-one time with students – the very reason Mrs. Harrison became a teacher! Let’s learn together!
