Biotechnology Science I

The biotechnology program prepares individuals to apply scientific principles and technical skills in support of biologists and biotechnologists in research, industrial, and government settings. Students learn basic biotechnology skills such as accurate and precise measurement, the basics of experimental design, pH, and the ethics of biotechnology. Students also learn leadership skills and job seeking skills.

Biotechnology Science II

This course prepares students to apply scientific principles and technical skills in support of biologists and biotechnologists in research, industrial, and government settings. Students continue to use experimental design and explore fermentation technology, cell culturing, gel electrophoresis, and bioinformatics. Students earn and utilize leadership skills and job seeking skills.

Biotechnology Science III

This course prepares students to apply scientific principles and technical skills in support of biologists and biotechnologists in research, industrial, and government settings. Students continue to use experimental design, and study protein purification, protein assay, biosynthesis, and genetic technology. Students learn and utilize leadership and job seeking skills.

Biotechnology Science IV Internship

This biotechnology program prepares individuals to apply scientific principles and technical skills in support of biologists and biotechnologists in research, industrial, and government settings. Students utilize skills learned in the biotechnology program to design and conduct a research experiment that will be credible to those in the biotechnology industry.
