Automotive Technology I

This class provides the student with the basic knowledge and understanding of the automotive field and career opportunities. We cover safety in the shop, theory of operation, construction, maintenance procedures, and repair of automotive components. The class is divided into two parts: 80% classroom lecture & demonstrations and 20% practical shop experience. Students are assigned safety glasses to be worn at all times in the shop. Students are encouraged to participate in SkillsUSA.

Automotive Technology II

The student is trained with a higher degree of mechanical theory and starts learning troubleshooting techniques. The student spends 80% of their time in lab. Students are assigned safety glasses to be worn at all times in the shop. Students are encouraged to participate in SkillsUSA.

Automotive Technology III Internship

The student should possess an average degree of mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Emphasis is on advance theory, diagnosis, and repair of today’s automobiles. Students will be assigned safety glasses to be worn at all times in the shop. Students are encouraged to participate in SkillsUSA.
