Agriscience I

Agriscience I is an introductory course to agriculture. This course covers a wide area of subject matter focusing primarily on leadership development and plant science. The units of instruction are as follows: Future Farmers of America (FFA) organization, Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) program, plant growth and safety, vegetative reproduction, plumbing, and introduction to welding. Planning and conducting a SAE program and membership in the FFA are requirements of this course.

Agriscience II

Agriscience II is a basic course in agriculture. This course covers a wide area of subject matter focusing primarily on Animal Science. The units of instruction are as follows: Future Farmers of America (FFA) organization, Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) program, livestock selection, livestock feeding, livestock production management, plant growth and development, financial records, insects, laboratory safety, vegetative reproduction, plumbing, and introduction to welding. Planning and conducting a SAE program and membership in the FFA are requirements of this course.

Agriscience III

Agriscience III is an upper-level agriculture class that covers advanced agriculture science and leadership practices. The units of instruction are as follows: Future Farmers of America (FFA) organization, public speaking, parliamentary procedure, financial records, agriculture business management, micro computers in agriculture, tractor operation, landscape design, surveying, land measurement and arc, GMAW, and oxy-acetylene welding. Management of the greenhouse and maintenance of the school arboretum is also a part of this course. Planning and conducting a Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) program and membership in the FFA are requirements of this course.

Agriscience IV

Agriscience IV is an upper-level agriculture class that covers advanced agriculture mechanics, business management, and leadership practices. The units of instruction are as follows: Future Farmers of America (FFA) organization, public speaking, crop production, financial records, micro computers in agriculture, tractor operations, landscape design and installation, irrigation systems, electrical wiring, agriculture, hydroponics and advanced arc, GMAW, and ox-acetylene welding. Planning and conducting a Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) program and membership in the FFA are requirements of this course.

Welding Fundamentals in Agriculture I

Welding Fundamentals in Agriculture I is an intoductory class that covers welding, agriculture mechanics, and leadership practices. The units of instruction are: safety, project planning and design, SMAW, GMAW, and oxy-acetylene welding. Units of instruction in Future Farmers of America (FFA) organization and Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) program may also be covered. Planning and conducting a SAE program and membership in the FFA are requirements of this course.

Welding Fundamentals in Agriculture II

Welding Fundamentals in Agriculture II is an upper-level class that covers advanced welding, agriculture mechanics, and leadership practices. The units of instruction are: safety, project planning and design, advanced SMAW, GMAW, and oxy-acetylene welding. Units of instruction in Future Farmers of America (FFA) organization and Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) program may also be covered. Planning and conducting a SAE program and membership in the FFA are requirements of this course.

Welding Fundamentals in Agriculture III

Welding Fundamentals in Agriculture III is an advanced class that covers advanced metal cutting and welding, agriculture mechanics, and leadership practices. The units of instruction are: safety, project design and construction, advanced SMAW, GMAW, and oxy-acetylene welding, welding equipment, maintenance, and repair. Units of instruction in the Future Farmers of American (FFA) organization and Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) program may also be covered. Planning and conducting a SAE program and membership in the FFA are requirements of this course.
