Aguayo, Bertha

Hello! I’m Bertha Aguayo, the Life Skills classroom teacher here at Vista Grande High School and this is my 11th year working for the Casa Grande Unified School District. Vista Grande first opened in 2009 and I have had the pleasure of building this program for the district since its inception. Prior to VGHS, I was a special education teacher at Mary C. O’Brien/Pinal Special Education for 27 years. I am a proud graduate of Arizona State University where I received my undergraduate degree in Special Education. GO DEVILS! I continued my love of learning by receiving my master’s degree in elementary education from Northern Arizona University.

When I am not at school, I love spending time with my wonderful husband of 31 years, our two amazing sons and their wives, and two beautiful granddaughters and gorgeous grandson! We love spending time in the White Mountains whenever we can get away from the desert heat. Every July you could find my family and I being beach bums at Mission Beach in San Diego.
