The Welding Technologies program is a concurrent enrollment, college-level course, offered in person at Central Arizona College during the school day over two years. Transportation may be provided depending upon the student’s schedule. The course prepares students to acquire welding skills and techniques and will be verified with Weldment testing. They will develop a working knowledge of blueprint reading and the welding processes for Shielded Metal ARC Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal ARC Welding (GMAW), Flux Cored ARC Welding (FCAW), and Gas Tungsten ARC Welding (GTAW) with the use of thermal cutting equipment. Students learn about the tools and equipment for the welding trade. Students will begin the course in a cohort.
