Drama I

This class introduces the students to a survey of all phases of theatre arts. Evaluation of plays, stage terminology, lighting, costuming, and makeup design and application are discussed. Students have weekly or bi-weekly evaluations on textbook material and/or performance evaluations. Students are expected to perform scenes and complete plays as part of class evaluation. This course may be repeated for credit.

Drama II

In this intensive course, actors develop a deeper understanding of theatre from different cultural and historical perspectives through playwriting, directing, scene study, monologues, emotional development, and performance technique. This course may be repeated for credit. Prerequisite: Drama I

Stage Production

This is a class that introduces the student to many technical areas of theatre. Students obtain practical experience in stage work and activities through building sets and preparing the stage for performances. Students must work on a technical crew for after-school productions. This course may be repeated for credit.
