Crank-Townsend, Arlisa

Welcome

Greetings Cougar Family!

Serving all students with a last name beginning with “R” and students in the Credit Recovery Program, I am Arlisa Crank-Townsend, the newest addition to the Cougar Counseling Department. It has already been an exciting and amazing journey getting to know students and my co-educators! I am from Charlotte, North Carolina, from where I originally retired; having spent many years serving children and families. My life has literally been spent providing education, social/emotional care, and guidance to young people and their families. I am from a family of eight (8) children, and I am the middle child and oldest child of the second set. My favorite pastimes are singing gospel music, photography, sightseeing, and writing. I have a vivid imagination that I use to develop creative ideas and businesses to help people.

Some of my career experiences include high school Administrative Secretary, School Counselor, Careers and Economics Teacher, Dean of Students, Industry Education Coordinator, and Assistant Principal. My amazing husband, daughter, and I moved to Casa Grande in 2007. My daughter, Khali, graduated from Casa Grande Union High School in 2019 and left her footprints on the dance, choir, and theater hallways. She now attends New York University and is studying film and television acting. My husband continues to enjoy his retirement from serving as a life-time education administrator in Flagstaff. I re-entered the education profession and served as Principal for Florence High School, Co-Principal for Florence Middle School, Principal for Mary C. O’Brien Elementary School, 7/8 Language Arts Teacher at Villago Middle School, and School Counselor at Sacaton Middle and AZ City/Toltec Elementary Schools. With all my preparation and on-the-job training, I know without doubt that YOU can accomplish and achieve anything your heart desires. I am ready to help YOU reach your goals and dreams! If I can do it, YOU can do it better!

Come visit me in the main counseling office or classroom D200 throughout your school day! It will be a privilege to meet you and work with you this year.

Warmest Regards,
