Hello! My name is Jovahn Delcid and I am the School Counselor for students with last names M-R. I have been in the education field since 2018, first as an Interventionist, then as a School Counselor. I am a Vista Grande High School alum, so it is an awesome experience to be able to work in such a familiar setting. After high school, I went to Central Arizona College (CAC) and received my Associate of Arts, then transferred to the University of Arizona where I majored in Psychology and minored in Latin American Studies. After the University of Arizona, I pursued a master's degree in School Counseling through Grand Canyon University.
Besides being a School Counselor, I am also an Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach at VG, so if I am not in my office, I am most likely out on the field with the team! Besides working and coaching, I enjoy spending time with my wife, our dog, friends, and family. I am a huge Boston Red Sox fan, enjoy golfing, a big movie/show watcher, and I love almost all types of music. I enjoy the opportunity to help students navigate high school, especially knowing that I was a student in the same classrooms that you are in now! More than anything, I love helping and serving individuals of this community, because this is home. I understand the obstacles and challenges of being a high school student, especially in a small, rural town like Casa Grande, so please reach out if help is ever needed.
