Hello! My name is Jovahn Delcid and I am the School Counselor for students with last names N-R. This is my first year as a School Counselor, but I have worked at Vista Grande High School the past two years as the Interventionist. I was born in Chandler, Arizona, and raised mostly in Casa Grande, Arizona. I am a Vista Grande High School alum, so it is an awesome experience to be able to work in such a familiar setting. After high school, I went to CAC and received my Associate of Arts, then transferred to the University of Arizona where I majored in Psychology and minored in Latin American Studies. I am currently working towards my Master’s degree in School Counseling through Grand Canyon University. I currently am an Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach at VG, so if I am not in my office, I am most likely out on the field with the team! Besides working and coaching, I enjoy spending time with my fiancée, 2 dogs, and friends and family. I am a huge Boston Red Sox fan, big movie/show watcher, and I love almost all types of music. I enjoy the opportunity to help students navigate high school, especially knowing that I was a student in the same classrooms that you are in now! More than anything, I love helping and serving individuals of this community, because this is home. I understand the obstacles and challenges of being a high school student, especially in a small, rural town like Casa Grande, so please reach out if help is ever needed.
