Star Wars: The Mandalorian Club is an activities club that is organized exclusively for supplemental educational purposes to include but not limited to Star Wars. The club is intended as a journey through the world of film and television focusing on the Star Wars Universe of films, animation, and television shows. It will be a sampling of the thought and accumulated critical opinion that forms the basis of the modern stature of filmmaking - as art or culturally important dramatic work. Exploration will also include careers in film and television. Periodically, speakers from the industry will be giving lectures and insights into their particular profession. If you love film and especially the Star Wars Universe of media, then this club will help you learn more about film analysis, film reviews and discussions, period genres and movements in film style, special effects, makeup, and more. It will provide you the opportunity to generate an informed opinion that will hopefully make your enjoyment of any film medium deeper. This club may be useful for students who want to be informed and conversant about the film and television industry; for the student who wants to know as much as he/she can about the world of film for personal enjoyment; or for the student hoping to become familiar with the 'lay-of-the-land' for film criticism or production for prospective career ambitions.
