(PACE) Brett Hillier was recognized Monday, April 8, as the Student of the Month during the district’s Governing Board meeting.

His exceptional A+ Winning Attitude shines through in his dedication to areas where he excels, such as eSports, group workouts in Health & Wellness, and classroom activities and projects in Health & Wellness and Science. Brett's supportive nature and ability to assist his peers and mentors are truly admirable. Without a doubt, he deserves recognition for his hard work in academics and his outstanding character in all aspects of life.”

"I wanted to share how impressed I am with Brett's growth as a leader. Since becoming captain of the eSsports team, he has really stepped up and shown great integrity, leadership, sportsmanship, and moral virtue. I'll never forget the recent game where the opposing team was being really unsportsmanlike and using inappropriate language. Brett handled the situation with such confidence and grace. He calmly told the other team that their behavior was not okay, and that he and his teammates didn't want to hear that kind of language. Brett made it clear that if they didn't stop, the game would be over. I think it's really important to acknowledge when someone does something great, and Brett definitely deserves recognition for the way he handled that tough situation. It's clear that he's a natural leader, and I'm excited to see him continue to grow in this role."
