Public Relations

Public Relations helps to establish and maintain lines of communication between the school system and its public. Public Relations is responsible for developing media strategies that promote a positive public image and manage and alleviate any public relations crises which may occur. We specialize in efficient communication, interacting effectively with the public and community, and media exposure.

Jennifer Kortsen has been in education for 30 years. Born in Casa Grande, she grew up on a cotton farm in Stanfield and attended Casa Grande Union High School before earning her teaching degree from Arizona State University and her Master of Education degree from Northern Arizona University.
 
Ms. Kortsen taught at Stanfield Elementary School, Cactus Middle School, and Vista Grande High School before becoming the Public Relations Officer for the Casa Grande Union High School District. Her passion has always been teaching and forming lifelong relationships with her students. Ms. Kortsen has been involved with and/or an advisor of Student Council, Academic Excellence Recognition, Yearbook, National Junior Honor Society, PBIS Committee, Key Club, mentoring and training new teachers, and football game announcer.
 
She is the proud mom of three sons and enjoys spending time with her beautiful granddaughter.
