GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Dress Code Reminder for all Cougars: Pajamas are not part of the student dress code at Union. Please leave your PJs and blankets at home. 

Students (1/30-2/9) 
Please do not utilize the Staff parking lot on the east side of campus for drop off in the mornings or pick up in the afternoon.   
Unauthorized vehicles are creating a safety issue for buses.   
This parking area is strictly prohibited and is only to be used by Staff and Buses and Authorized vehicles.   
All students must be dropped off and picked up to the west side of campus 
We appreciate your cooperation.   

The application deadline for the Joaquin Bustoz Math and Science Honors Summer Program is on Sunday, February 18, 2024. The Teacher Recommendation Letter for this program is due by Tuesday, February 20, 2024. Students who are interested may apply online at jbmshp.asu.edu, or if you are interested in finding out more information regarding this program, please visit the program’s website at jbmshp.asu.edu or see Mr. Razo in room F109. 

The Amerind Club will be meeting today after school in E101. Bus passes will be available. 

Please congratulate the students of the CGUHS Elite Dance company for their stellar performance at the Nexus Dance Competition this weekend. The students learned the dance within two weeks and placed fourth within their category. Additionally won a judge choice award, which is very hard to receive.  Please make sure to congratulate the following students:

CLUBS & ACTIVITIES

Attention staff and students the MORP Dance has been cancelled.  If you purchased a ticket, please see the bookstore for your refund.    

Art Club will be meeting today after school (2/5) in the Auto Room to complete final touches on the Auto rooms mural. Come by if you’d like to help with edge work and fine details. Late bus passes available. 

The Sophomore Class will be hosting a Bonfire on February 9 from 6pm-8pm by the baseball fields.  Food, games and music will be provided.  Please come out and have some fun!

Attention all Casa Grande Union High School Students and Staff: The Dance program is happy to present the first annual Student Dance Showcase. A concert presenting dance piece created by the students of the CGUHS Dance Program. The concert will be premiering on February 8th with doors opening at 6 pm. This is a one night only event, so make sure not to miss it. Additionally, there is no entry fee for this concert, so come support your CGUHS dancers' cougars. 

ATHLETICS 

Boys Tennis Practice will begin on Monday, February 5.  To be eligible to play this year, all interested players must complete their Aktivate registration, get a physical and pay their Pay to Play fee.  For more information, please see Mrs. Wagner in the Athletics Department. 

Softball tryouts are today after school. You must have your physical to participate. Stop by F108 if you have any questions or come out to the field  

Baseball practice/Tryouts are on February 5th at 3:45 on the baseball field.  In order to practice you need to have your clearance from Mrs. Wagner in the athletic office.  If you have any questions find Coach Batina
