(VGHS) On Saturday, January 27, Darius Brown (SR) and Darnell Castro (SR), participated in the Offertunity Bowl at Ottawa University in Surprise, Arizona. The Offertunity Bowl is led by a group of former high school and college football coaches whose intention is to highlight selected Arizona high school seniors whose recruiting has not worked out like they wanted. The bowl gives seniors last-hour exposure to colleges before the February 7th National Letter of Intent Signing Day. Team Arizona came out on top (31-30) over Team California.
