(CGUHS) We The People class/team competed at the Region 3 Mock Congressional Hearing Competition in Tucson, Arizona, and finished 3rd Place. The students have been invited to compete as an "at large" team at the state competition on Friday, January 12, at Mesa Community College in Mesa, Arizona. Teams competing for the state championship include Casa Grande Union High School, Corona Del Sol High School, Dobson High School, Gilbert Classical Academy, Hamilton High School, Mountain View High School, Red Mountain High School, Sunnyside High School, and Vista Grande High School. The winning team will advance to the national competition in April in Washington, D.C. The Cougars are instructed by Robert Peterson, Social Studies Teacher.
