Ethan Mitchell, Joshua Bruno, Oscar Romo Martinez, Evan Centeno, and Jonathan Lawson have been selected to represent Casa Grande Union High School (CGUHS) at Arizona Boys State, June 5-11, at Northern Arizona University (NAU) in Flagstaff, Arizona. Boys State, sponsored by the American Legion, is a citizenship training program designed to provide a working knowledge of our governmental process. Delegates learn about government by actually operating it. They establish a 51st state patterned after Arizona and act as self-governing citizens for a full week. State, county, and city officers are elected; court and law enforcement agencies organized; legislative assemblies set up; and bills introduced.
