(CGUHSD) Teena Daniels, Director of Student Success, was recognized as September's Employee of the Month at the Governing Board Meeting on Tuesday, September 5. According to her team members, “Ms. Daniels has come to our team and brought forth a professionalism and knowledge that is undeniable. She is organized and thorough. She is leading our team through the audit and spends endless hours researching best practices for our department. She always says we are in the business of serving our students and always has their best interest in mind. She listens to and respects teachers. She is an amazing teacher; shares her knowledge of technology and classroom teaching experiences with us. As our director, she is modeling how to compassionately hold others to high expectations. Her understanding of “go slow to move fast” has helped us to begin to see her vision and the methods that will ensure us a sustainable set of systems that should thrive long after her time as our director. Her willingness to learn in her new role is appreciated. She always asks questions if she doesn’t know something. She’s not afraid to tell you. We admire this in a director. She genuinely appreciates everyone’s knowledge around her. She compliments employees on their attributes to our department.
