(VGHS) Matthew Guy, son of Matthew and Kiamesha Guy, was recognized Tuesday, January 9, as the Rotary Student of the Month at the district’s Governing Board meeting. Matthew is an outstanding, well-rounded student who has continued to stay involved in the VG community throughout his high school career. He has been a part of clubs such as Student Council and Key Club while receiving the CTE Student of the Month and continuing to stay on top of his academics, earning a 4.0 GPA. Matthew’s list of accomplishments does not end here, as he is a part of the Vista Grande Baseball program and has completed the Harvard/MIT leadership programs. When Matthew graduates, he plans to attend college to earn his degree and then become a military officer. After reaching these goals, Matthew plans to become a world traveler.
