(CGUHS) Congratulations to the Girls Flag Football team and coaches for earning AIA 5A Southern Region awards. All seven starting defensive players were selected as All-Region 1st Team: Lynisee Armstrong, Dasani Gilder, Savanah Halbert, Ranae Harley, Eternity Haygood, Andrea Mongula, and Sarah Mountz. Other awards included Kayla Tacker (Region Player of the Year); Lynisee Armstrong (Region Defensive Player of the Year); Natalia Carrillo (All-Region 2nd Team-Defense), All-Region 1st Team-Offense & Special Teams (Lynisee Armstrong, Andrea Monguia, Sarah Mountz); All-Region 2nd Team-Offense & Special Teams (Lynisee Armstrong, Savanah Halbert, and Sarah Mountz), and Head Coach Kevin White (Region Coach of the Year).
