(VGHS) Gabriela Angulo, daughter of Cecilia and Luis Angulo, was recognized Tuesday, December 5, as the Rotary Student of the Month at the district’s Governing Board meeting. Gabriela is a well-rounded student-athlete at Vista Grande as she has proven to have exemplary grades, sitting at a 4.0 GPA, while also being an important piece in cross-country, track, and soccer. Throughout Gabriela's athletic career, she has been a part of both the varsity Soccer and Track & Field teams and has also earned the title of "Most Improved" in Cross Country. Although Gabriela's outstanding accomplishments do not stop here, she has earned the "Boys and Girls Youth of the Year" award and has also been a member of Key Club and FCCLA. After Gabriela graduates from Vista Grande, she aims to attend Northwestern Arizona University (NAU) and earn her Dental Hygienist degree.
