(VGHS) David Barnett, son of James & Melanie Boone, was recognized Tuesday, March 5, as the Rotary Student of the Month at the district's Governing Board meeting. David has found himself not only excelling in the classroom, but also making a mark within the Vista Grande community. Along with holding a 4.05 GPA, David has pushed himself to get involved in clubs like the National Junior Honor Society, Impact, AP Club, and the mariachi band. Aside from Davids' accomplishments, Davids' character speaks volumes. David proves to be a selfless individual, as he regularly attends and participates in blood donations. After graduation, David aspires to become a historical musician and an accomplished scholar. In his leisure time, he plans to learn how to garden and support his family and friends.
