STEM students will attend the Space Business Round Table on Tuesday at the University of Arizona. The bus departs at 3:15 from room L100.
Students for the Exploration and Development of Space meet on Wednesday after school in room L100.
The Space Law, Policy, and Ethics Special Interest Group meets on Wednesday after school in room L100.
Chief Science Officers meet on Thursday during Cougar Time in room L100.
The Biotechnology and Engineering Senior Capstone Project Team meet on Friday during Cougar Time in room L100.
Gamer’s Guild meets daily throughout the week in room L100.
Homecoming
Homecoming royalty nominations are open on Blackboard, just open your class such as class of 2022 and on the left side click on Homecoming 2021, then select homecoming nominations. You can only nominate people from your own class. The top 4 eligible girls and boys with the most nominations will be selected as the official candidates for homecoming royalty. The last day to vote is Wednesday the 15th.
Homecoming tickets go on sale today in the bookstore for 20 dollars each. Homecoming is Sept 25th at 8pm here on campus. The Theme is Hollywood. Guests are allowed if they are under 21 and are a current student or graduate of the CGUHS district. Please see Mr. Robbins or Mr. Mabb about guest passes.
Sports
Are you interested in going to the Maricopa Varsity football game this Friday night? Student Council is sponsoring 2 spirit buses to take students to Maricopa for the game. The cost for the bus ride is 5$ and can be paid to Brad in the bookstore. To get on the bus you will need a signed parent permission slip (available from the bookstore) and 5 dollars cash to pay for your ticket into the game. The buses will leave the school at 6pm from the parking lot. By your tickets soon, the first 100 students who pay for their tickets will be able to go.
Come on out and support the lady cougar volleyball team on Tuesday. Games start at 4pm in the gym. Also on Tuesday you can support the CGUHS Tennis team as they take on Notre Dame Prep at 3:30 pm. Come on out and cheer for our athletes.
