(CGUHS) The Freshman Success Train Rolls ON!

In this first phase of the Freshman Success seminars, student organizations continue to come and share their experiences with the group as well as allow for interactive games complete with rewards.

The Freshman Success students listen and respond with well-thought-out questions for our presenters. The teachers are keeping track of how these seminars are affecting our students as we see a rise in our Freshmen getting involved with student organizations, clubs, and teams, as well as keeping track of their academic progress through our weekly credit checks; part of our time management lessons.

Over the past few weeks, our Student Council, National Honor Society, Casa Grande Youth Commission, DECA Marketing, and JROTC Marine Corp have come and shared their experiences with our Freshmen. We are excited, as a team, and optimistic that these Freshmen will be our leaders of tomorrow.

We want to sincerely thank all our teachers, staff, counselors, administrators, and Superintendent Lavender for participating in our Business Preparation (Handshake) classroom assignment. They asked our Freshmen excellent questions (requiring them to think on their feet) and gave them valuable suggestions such as maintaining a firm handshake, consistent direct eye contact, specific apps they should explore (ECAP), and questioned them about their personal goals. We know there were a lot of students. We are truly appreciative of their continued support.
