Stepping Out From Behind The Counter Award

(CGUHSD) Congratulations to Tina Ogle, Federal & State Programs Director. She was presented with the Stepping Out From Behind The Counter Award. Renee Morales had this to say, “Earlier this month, I was a witness to a great act of coming out from behind the counter as a team worked to onboard a new international teacher. This teacher’s journey was arduous, to say the least. She had arrived with a bag and the clothes on her back, no currency to buy food, not even set up for housing. The team worked to make sure she was fed and felt safe here in the district office. Upon hearing what was happening, without hesitation, Tina offered up her guest house to the teacher until she was able to find a permanent place. She offered to make sure she was fed and safe. This gesture is a wonderful example of what she has been asked of the district in going that extra mile and coming together for the greater good.” Tina is a tremendous asset to our district, and we appreciate her.
