(VGHS) Vista Grande High School is proud to recognize Jonathan Reyna, son of Efren and Maria Reyna, as the February Rotary Student of the Month. Jonathan is a dedicated student and athlete with a strong passion for both academics and sports. With a 3.8 GPA, Jonathan has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence in the classroom, earning a place on the honor roll throughout high school. Alongside academics, Jonathan has excelled in athletics, earning a spot on the Baseball 2nd Team All-Region and competing as a three-year varsity Baseball athlete where leadership and determination on the field have shaped his competitive spirit.
In addition to sports, Jonathan has shown dedication to community service, always looking for ways to give back and make a positive impact. With a job in the HVAC industry, he has also gained valuable hands-on experience and developed a strong work ethic, balancing his academic and professional responsibilities.
Looking ahead, Jonathan has clear goals for the future: to attend college on a Baseball scholarship while pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice. After completing his undergraduate studies, Jonathan plans to continue his education with a master’s degree in Criminal Justice, aiming for a rewarding career in the field. Ultimately, his ambition is to secure a fulfilling job that not only aligns with his passions but also provides the means to retire his father, demonstrating deep gratitude and a strong sense of family.
