Retiree Recognition

(VGHS) Retiree recognition was given to Bertha Aguayo at the district’s Governing Board meeting on Monday, May 6. Bertha has spent 15 years as the Life Skills Teacher at Vista Grande. She built this particular functional program from the ground up. Her fondest memories have been just being blessed by the Life Skills staff she has had the opportunity to work alongside throughout her years at Vista. Her words of advice come from one of her favorite quotes: “No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care.”-President Theodore Roosevelt. She is most looking forward to not writing any more IEPs. She will enjoy being able to spend more time with her husband, her sons, and their families. She will also be spending time at their cabin in Pinetop-Lakeside without having to schedule it around a school break.
