(VGHS) Mallery Lyme was recognized Tuesday, September 5, as the September Career & Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Month at the district’s Governing Board meeting. Mallery was nominated by her CTE Stagecraft Teacher, Mr. Douglas Harding. “Mallery is currently in her third year of Stagecraft and consistently takes the lead on many projects. She has served as stage manager for all our productions, including dance recitals, where she was responsible for the staging of over 50 dancers. Mallery is committed to training new theatre technicians, thereby leaving a legacy for the next generation. She has always provided valuable insight and creativity through her work. As the only Stagecraft intern this year, her experience has proven invaluable.” Mallery’s parents are Mr. Preston Lyme of Casa Grande, Arizona, and Ms. Amanda Kefalas of Arizona City, Arizona. Over 1,600 students are enrolled in thirteen different Career & Technical Education programs throughout the Casa Grande Union High School District.
