BJ Media Awards


(CGUHSD) On Wednesday, January 29, Casa Grande Union & Vista Grande Football and Girls Flag Football players were recognized among the top athletes in Arizona for their outstanding performances this season at the 2024 BJ Media Awards. 

Congratulations to our winners:
  • Kayla Tacker (CGUHS) – Defensive Player of the Year (Back-to-Back Winner)
  • Aveon Williams (CGUHS) – Tight End Player of the Year
Shoutout to our finalists:
  • Leland Cevedia (CGUHS) – Offensive Lineman of the Year Finalist
  • Lynisee Armstrong (CGUHS) – Underclassman of the Year Finalist
  • Leewai Tavares (Vista Grande) – Offensive Underclassman of the Year Finalist
  • Fernando Moya (Vista Grande) – Running Back of the Year Finalist
  • Athiaun Arol (Vista Grande) – Defensive Lineman of the Year Finalist
  • Coach Jon Roberts (CGUHS) – Coach of the Year Finalist
