(CGUHS) An important learning opportunity we can provide for our students is ‘Exposure’. We have a fiduciary responsibility to encourage our students to strive for excellence as we expose them to ‘like models’ that have gone from Freshman year to becoming leaders in organizations that compete nationally and internationally. We are encouraged our Freshman of today will become our leaders of tomorrow.
The Freshman Success seminars began on Wednesday, August 7, with two student organizations coming out to explain to our Freshman how to get involved in careers in the health industry (HOSA) and our CTE Engineering and CTE Software & App Design students showed them how students, just like them, are building robots, designing electric circuit boards, and designing and building 4-6-8-cylinder piston engines.
We plan to bring in additional student organizations as well as youth entrepreneurs, university personnel, trade school representatives, business owners, lawyers, law enforcement, leaders in the farming business industry, and a litany of professionals to expose our students to the BEST and get them involved in school activities and organizations in their Freshman year.
