"The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it from you." - B.B. King
Hello! I am Mrs. Sanchez and I am the counselor for students with last names A-F. I am originally from California but now have the priviledge to call Arizona home. I graduated from Saddleback High School and attended Orange Coast College (OCC) in Costa Mesa, California. I later earned my Bachelors of Science in Human Services from The University of Phoenix. I decided to become a School Counselor when I saw a need for a bilingual counselor while completing an internship at the local junior high school. I earned my Masters of Education at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California and received both my School Counseling and School Psychologist credentials.
I am married and have a wonderful 5 year old son that always keeps me on my toes. We moved to Casa Grande, Arizona in March 2012 when my husband's job relocated him here and I was hired as a Counselor at a charter school in South Phoenix. In November 2012 I found an opportunity to work where I live and began to work as a high school Counselor for the Casa Grande Union High School District. I absolutely love where I work and love what I do.
I know high school can be difficult for many, especially during these times. I want students and parents/guardians to know that I am here to assist with understanding academics, navigating through career/college options, and assisting with any personal-social needs. I strive daily to be everything both my mother and I needed during my high school years. Please feel free to reach out to me via email and/or visit my virtual office. You can also fill out an Appointment Request form to schedule an MS Teams meeting with me.
I look forward to working with you!!! So happy you are here!
