This course enables students to explore a topic of interest related to STEM disciplines, apply research principles, develop and test solutions, and document primary research. Working under the guidance of a faculty advisor, the students will write a formal thesis and defend their research project before a committee. This course serves as an opportunity for students to expand their expertise in a focused specialization, to explore a topic in greater detail, and to develop more advanced research skills. This independent study course is open to juniors and seniors in the STEM program.
