Dear Casa Grande Union High School District!
So good to have you back, we are anticipating a great school year! I often contemplate our students’ learning and our responsibility as educators to provide the best learning experiences for each of the students. I take this responsibility seriously. Many of the staff have been engaged in training, teaching, and learning, so that we provide best practices supported by research and proven to have positive learning outcomes. It is this educational institution’s responsibility to prepare each student for exceptional post-secondary learning, guaranteed to prepare students for careers each student is passionate to experience. We want students to thrive and serve self, family, and others with their best. To meet this goal, we must partner with our colleagues, parents, guardians, and community members. We must listen and learn from each other, developing respectful relationships that foster a culture that inspires excellence for students.
This is what Casa Grande Union High School District is all about. We strive to evolve teaching and learning, by aligning it with essential knowledge and skills needed for lucrative careers. We are partnering with local industries and cross-walking educational standards seamlessly into day-to-day learning. Doing so will prepare our students beyond the 21st century. Our students will learn in loving environments, where students and staff are respectful of one another. We must strive for common values and develop positive working relationships among diverse students and adults. Secondary education is the pathway into adult life. High school must be filled with many options for students to connect in positive ways and support one another’s differences. We foster an educational experience that inspires hope, opportunity, equity, and harmony. We all have learned that life lessons create resilience and persistence. We appreciate the challenges in learning and honor an “I can too” attitude. We, the staff, and leadership are here to help support students and families achieve personal goals in life. We want CGUHSD students to believe, “When I struggle, I will have help. What I set out to do, I will accomplish it”. I stand by this, and I invite all educators, parents, and the community to stand with me.
The leadership and staff are more than optimistic that we will provide a quality learning experience for students in Casa Grande Union High School District. We look forward to an amazing school year. Welcome aboard, new staff and welcome back existing staff. Are you ready? If so, say, YES, I am!
