Welcome

Welcome, all students and families, to the Casa Grande Union High School District (CGUHSD) Summer School.

We are excited to have the opportunity to teach and inspire all students this summer. Our teachers have been hard at work to prepare the very best lessons. Each student has the amazing opportunity to learn the needed standards and concepts to help them on the road to graduation from CGUHSD.

As we move into the summer to prepare the student each day, students will need to be well rested and on time to class. This summer is a short time to cover a lot of important material and concepts. Students need to be in class each day, ready to learn.

We are excited for the many wonderful classes offered and the many chances for growing and learning.

Mr. José Muñoz, Principal

Attendance Policy

Because of our limited time to teach the needed standards, students are required to be in class each day. If a student needs to miss one day for illness or any other reason, please call the office to excuse the student for that day.

Students may not miss more than two (2) days in a session to receive credit for the class.

If you have any questions, please call Ms. Perez in the office. Summer school will be open 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Bell Schedule

Food Services

Students will have the chance to have breakfast and lunch each day of Summer School.
BREAKFAST
Breakfast is served 7:30-8:00 a.m. Students may eat breakfast in the commons area of the school. Students will not be allowed to bring food into the classroom, so please bring them with enough time to eat in the morning, if desired.
LUNCH
Students are served lunch 10:35-11:05 a.m.

Summer School Credit

Students will receive Semester 1 credit for their chosen class during Session 1 of Summer School. Session 2 will count for Semester 2 credit for that class. Because of the limited amount of time to teach the needed standards, students must be in class to get credit. Tardies or removal from class for behavior issues may result in a loss of credit and removal from our summer program. We expect all students to come on time and be prepared to learn each day. This is a great chance for our students to get the credits they need to advance and graduate from CGUHSD.

We are looking forward to a great summer and our administration team is happy to answer any questions you may have. Thank you for letting CGUHSD be a part of your student’s educational journey.
