RE: Continuity of Learning Committee Mask Proposal
Dear CGUHSD Parents, Students and Staff:
The CGUHSD Continuity of Learning Committee met on Friday, February 11, 2022, to review the most recent COVID-19 metrics and recommendations from the ADHS and CDC. Given the available metrics, COVID-19 data reports show a significant decline in cases per 100,000 and in percent positive rates. With this updated Pinal County Benchmark data, CGUHSD Continuity of Learning Committee is recommending the following:
1. Discontinue the mask requirement.
2. Discontinue the mask opt-out.
3. Allow all CGUHSD staff, students, and parents the option to wear a mask while on any school or district site.
While there is still evidence of transmittable diseases in and around our community, please be wise and make the best decision for yourself and others. This proposal will go into effect Monday, February 14, 2022. The Continuity of Learning Committee will continue to meet bi-weekly to monitor the COVID-19 metrics and recommendations from the ADHS and CDC.
Sincerely,
Dr. Anna Battle
CGUHSD Superintendent
