I am pleased to begin my first year as an art teacher at Casa Grande Union High School. Art has always been an important part of my life, studying the topic extensively in high school, attending youth programs at Moore College of Art in Philadelphia, and obtaining a degree in Fashion Merchandising. After trying my hand in the fashion industry, I pursued my desire to see the world and accepted an English teaching position in Kunming, China, in 2012, where I taught adolescents and adults. Since then, I've lived in the Middle East, Europe, and have visited over 30 countries and all continents (excluding Antartica) while teaching ESL. Prior to Covid-19, I went back to the art world by studying and obtaining a degree in Mural Art & Painting at Escola Massana in Barcelona, Spain. I have seen firsthand the role that art can play in the real world and am excited to help students at CGUHS learn a variety of techniques, mediums, and forms, as well as how art can and does beautify our world.
