(CGUHS) Melody Limon was recognized Tuesday, November 7, as the November Career & Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Month at the district’s Governing Board meeting. Melody was nominated by Mr. John Morris, CTE Engineering Teacher. “I wholeheartedly recommend Melody based on her exceptional qualities and achievements. Melody consistently demonstrates a brilliant and creative mind in her academic pursuits, maintaining an outstanding academic record. Beyond academics, she excels as a talented actress and vocalist, showcasing her multifaceted talents. Melody's leadership shines through her active involvement in Girls Who Code, Robotics Team, and Near Space Research Team, where she has made significant contributions. Her ability to collaborate effectively and assume pivotal roles consistently leads to success. I'd like to emphasize her current involvement in a noteworthy project, creating a video game using Unity. This project aligns with her ambitious career goal of becoming a Disney Imagineer, allowing her to express innovative ideas in theme park design. Her passion and dedication to this endeavor are truly remarkable, showcasing her ability to translate imaginative concepts into tangible, interactive experiences. As her teacher and mentor, I've witnessed Melody's diligence, enthusiasm, and professionalism. With her unique blend of technical skills, creativity, and unwavering commitment, I have no doubt she will achieve her dream of becoming a Disney Imagineer. Melody is an outstanding individual deserving of every opportunity to excel.” Melody’s parents are Mr. & Mrs. David Phillips of Casa Grande, Arizona. Over 1,600 students are enrolled in thirteen different Career & Technical Education programs throughout the Casa Grande Union High School District. Each month, a different CTE program nominates a deserving student for this honor. For past recipients, visit https://www.cguhsd.org/CTE.aspx.
