Student Council

VG-StudentCouncilStateConference20220217 (2)

On Thursday, February 17, VGHS Student Council members spent the first day of the Student Council State Conference doing a variety of team building activities, learning about how to motivate and inspire others, talking with other Student Councils, getting information from a variety of vendors to help with events, and being inspired by a speaker encouraging them to “Be the Change” they want to see. The overall theme of the conference was "The Sound of Leadership" and Thursday's spirit theme was “Musicals”, so they dressed as “Teen Beach Movie”. The Spartans were recognized for all their charitable contributions over the past year, with Platinum (top-level) recognition in both the number of service hours (over 200 hours) and  dollars donated (close to $1,000).  In addition, Mr. Scheeler was nominated for “Outstanding Advisor of the Year”.
