Join us in celebrating Computer Science Education Week. December 3-7 is Computer Science Education Week —an annual event to get students excited about CS by trying an Hour of Code, no experience needed. Please ask your teacher for details.  This message has been brought to you by the Casa Grande Girls Who code.

 

Congratulations to our Show Cheer…they placed 1st in the AIA State Qualifiers.

 

Elections for officers for the STEM Advisory Committee were held on Friday.   The officers for the 2019 STEM Advisory Committee are:

Chairperson: Becky Baker (Engineering)

Director of Committees: Benjamin McFann (Biotechnology)

Secretary: Alexis Johnson (Engineering)

Treasurer: Merlin D’souza (Biotechnology)

Parliamentarian: Julia Leija (Biotechnology)

Boys Basketball final scores against Nogales High School…Varsity loss 46-59, JV loss 30-65 & Frosh loss 56-58. Boys basketball @ home tomorrow vs. Empire High School.  Frosh game starts @ 4 pm, JV @ 5:30 pm & Varsity @ 7 pm. 

 

Girls Basketball final scores against Nogales High School…Varsity loss 38-53, JV loss 35-28 & Frosh loss 21-27. Girls basketball @ Empire High School tomorrow. Girls basketball will be released today @ 2 pm.

Wrestling @ Vista Grande Wednesday, December 5th. Varsity & JV will begin at 3:30 pm.

 

Attention freshmen: There will be a freshmen class meeting on Tuesday Dec. 4th at 7:30 in Mrs. Brady's room, H209. Agenda includes the upcoming car wash and donuts/hot chocolate sales.  All freshmen are welcome. Freshmen officers please plan to attend. 

 

Students who need a schedule correction for 2nd semester can find the form to request this in the guidance office by the fax machine. Forms should be completed and placed in the box by December 19 for consideration. If you wish to change from an Honors/AP class, you must start that paperwork with your teacher.

 

Attention Juniors and Seniors: We will be offering the Accuplacer again on Thursday, December 13th. This is the placement test offered by CAC. We are offering CAC's English 101 here on campus next semester, so be sure you sign up for the accuplacer if you haven't taken it already. If you have taken it in the past, you will have to go to CAC to retake it. See your Counselor for more details.
