After school, freshmen student council are selling lollipops in building one. Buy one to support the freshmen class.
February 6-10 is National Skills USA Week. VG Skills USA chapter will be celebrating the week by having program activities at lunch. Stop by our booth outside of the cafeteria and help us raise money for mutts by donating your Pennies for Puppies! All money collected this week will benefit the Casa Grande Valley Humane Society.
Valentine’s Day is next week. Thespians are back again this year selling the very popular Valentine Singing Telegrams. Pick your theme and delivery character. Telegrams are only $3 through Thursday. Buy them before the cost goes up to $5 on Friday.
Tickets for the Spartan Voice Singsation and Dancing with the Staff competitions are on sale now for only $5. Come check out and vote for your favorite performers this Friday at 6 pm in the Auditorium. Tickets will be sold for $10 at the door, so buy yours for only $5 at the Skills USA booth at lunch or from Mrs. Harding in room 3044. Don’t miss out on 2 fun and fabulous events for the price of one! Which student will be voted best singer at VG? Which staff member will take home the mirrored trophy for their dance moves? You’ll be the judge!!

Girls Basketball@ Independence @ 530 and 7pm. Early release @ 315pm and depart @ 330pm. No freshman Game.
Feb 7 is Girls Basketball Senior night with Paradise Valley @ VG @ 430pm for jv game and 600pm for varsity.
Feb 7 is Boys basketball VG @ Paradise Valley @ 4, 530 and 7pm. Early release @ 115pm and depart @ 130pm. Boys must check into class for attendance and assignments before being released.

Baseball, softball and track TRYOUTS TODAY after school; waivers are required in order to participate. Girls tennis tryouts start Feb 9. Athletes once you are selected for a roster you must turn in your physical packet with all documents and fee receipt before you can practice or participate. Teachers please do not allow students to leave class for their clearance card; they may come during their lunches or after school. Mrs. Smothers is in the office every day until 5pm.

The final boys basketball practices will be tonight. Varsity will begin at 315 pm and freshman and JV will begin at 5 pm.
