The CAC class – CPD101 – will meet in
D204 at 3:15 today. Please be on time.
If you haven’t registered for the class yet, bring your completed form
to the class and they will register you then.

CVHS HOSA
is selling breast cancer awareness shirts now through Wednesday, October 5th.
15% of the cost is donated to the Susan G. Komen foundation for breast cancer
research. See a HOSA member to order your shirt today!
Do you like
to Bowl? It is that time of year again. We would like to have all
students interested in the club to meet at the lanes Monday Oct10th at 3:45pm.
We will bowl
for 10 weeks running thru Jan 30th. Cost will be $5.00 per week.
Juniors and Seniors and their parents
– CGUHS will host a Financial Aid Night this evening October 4, 2016 in the
Auditorium. The event will start at 6:00
pm and end at approximately 7.
Representatives from CAC will present information concerning the FAFSA
(Free Application for Student Aid) for students. Seniors will start the FAFSA process in
October this year so this is important for any student who needs money for
college or tech school. There will be refreshments.
Students, CGUHS will host the 3rd
Annual Student Success Night on October 13, 2016. All students and their parents are invited to
this event starting at 6:00 pm and ending at approximately 8. Colleges, Military, Professions, and Business
will be there to discuss future job, career, and/or schooling for students
after high school. There will be prizes and refreshments.
Sophomores and Juniors – The PSAT
will be given on November 2, 2016. Cost
to take the test is $ 15, payable at the bookstore. This is the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude
Test and will give you an indication on how you will score on the SAT. To sign up for the test, go to the bookstore
and pay the required fee and you will receive a study guide for the test. There are a limited number of tests so it is
first come, first served.
Juniors and Seniors – take the ASVAB
(Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) on November 29. This will be offered free to students who
wish to see what career would be best for them.
To sign up for this test, go to the guidance office and enter the
information on the form provided.

INTERESTED IN TRYING OUT FOR BASKETBALL THIS YEAR ARE EXPECTED TO ATTEND A
MEETING ON THURSDAY OCTOBER 6 RIGHT AFTER SCHOOL IN COACH PETERSON'S ROOM

SHOULD LAST NO LONGER THAN 20 MINUTES. WE WILL COVER TRYOUT
EXPECTATIONS, ACADEMIC EXPECTATIONS, INFORMATION ON PHYSICALS AND CLEARANCE
PROCEDURES TO PLAY.
Open Girls tennis today at 3:15 pm. Anyone is invited to come if they want to
play tennis in the spring. Please bring water.
Winter Sports officially begins October 31st. If you are interested in Boys & Girls
Basketball, Wrestling or Boys & Girls Soccer please stop by Mrs. Soto’s
office in Building B, Room 121 for a sports physical packet. Thank you!
October 5th – Girls soccer players will be
selling donuts and other great snacks before school on Wednesday through
Friday. Bring your dollar bills!
