(CGUHS) Mr. Lucasia’s class wrapped up the year with an exciting hands-on activity: the Spaghetti & Marshmallow Tower Challenge — a problem-solving task made famous by Tom Wujec’s TED Talk and tackled by CEOs, engineers, college professors, and more. Armed with only uncooked spaghetti, marshmallows, and a solid understanding of triangles, our students rose to the challenge. With no formal leadership training, they relied on creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking to build a structure that exceeded the average height achieved by many adult professionals who’ve attempted the same task!
