Greetings, everyone. My name is Tommie Clardy III, aka Coach T or Mr. T Clardy. I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, home of the Arizona Wildcats #BEARDOWN. I grew up in a barbershop environment where counseling, consulting, sports, and carrying a conversation was a way of life every moment with many different people from many different walks of life, ranging from musical artists, professional athletes, comedians, doctors, lawyers, and, of course, University of Arizona Wildcat students, athletes, coaches, and professional employees such as professors and deans.
#IAmHereToChangeTheNarrative and to be someone students can IDENTIFY with, who will continue to be a resource that connects with students and helps develop them to reach a higher peak in their educational and life journeys. As a professional leader in public education since 2016, I am blessed to make a direct impact. My commitment to my role at PACE is to continue to help students find their voice and learn how to become strong and confident advocates for themselves.
As a lifelong learner, I pride myself in being one with a story; a part of my story is that I am a first-generation college graduate with three degrees (Phoenix College, University of Arizona, and Arizona State University) and a well-diverse background, being that I played college football at the Division I level (UTEP) and now have a chance to help continue to lead young men and women succeed in their pursuits in life in this community.
I am happily married to my wonderful wife since 2018 and together since 2013. We have three amazing young children, one son and two daughters. I enjoy listening to and writing poetry and music in my spare time, coaching/spectating sports, fellowshipping with close family and friends, and traveling.
