(CGUHS) The Career & College Fair was held on Thursday, April 18. Students visited lots of booths to learn about various career pathways, schools, and businesses. Thank you to all who came out to make this a huge success as well as a fun time. A big shout out to the Cougar Spiritline and Band for the entertainment. It’s that time of year whereby the weather can vary, one week it’s 67 degrees and the next week it’s 97 degrees, so when hosting an event, the host hopes that extremes don’t occur. On Thursday April 18, over 1,000 students, teachers, administrators, personnel, and vendors forgot about the weather, expected to hit 97 degrees, came out to participate in this year’s Career & College Fair on campus.

The ambience was incredible. Everything was upbeat as the Jazz Band provided the rhythmic tempo and Spiritline provided motivating interactive dances throughout the event.

It was evident that students were hungry for information about colleges, trades, health, and careers. The Casa Grande Police Department, Casa Grande Fire Department, numerous armed services, voter registration, health care, Glitz Cosmetology School, Ellison-Mills, Hunter Contracting, and multiple universities, such as Carrington College, ASU, UArizona, and NAU, were on hand to speak with all of the patrons.

It was hot. There was plenty of water on hand but the electrifying atmosphere and the intent to learn more about what’s out there led students, teachers, administrators, and personnel to come out and support the Career & College Fair.

Thank you to all who came out to make this a huge success as well as a fun time.
