(CGUHS) Taylor Curtis was recognized Monday, April 8, as the Career & Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Month during the district’s Governing Board meeting. Taylor was nominated by her CTE Automotive Technologies Teacher, Mr. Christian Stewart: “Taylor Curtis is a second-year Automotive Technologies student. From the start, she has shown a great interest in the automotive/diesel industries. Taylor is an asset to the program; she is always willing to go above and beyond when asked to help. She competed two years in a row in SkillsUSA state competitions. Taylor has taken advantage of the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) in Industry Certification. This is a test for certifying automotive professionals. Taylor plans to attend UTI and continue her studies in the automotive/diesel field. She has been a fantastic student, both academically and in the auto shop, and this is why I nominate her for the CTE Student of the Month.” Taylor’s parents are Mr. & Mrs. Dustin Curtis of Casa Grande, Arizona. Over 1,513 students are enrolled in thirteen (13) different Career & Technical Education programs throughout the Casa Grande Union High School District. Each month, a different CTE program nominates a deserving student for this honor. For past recipients, visit https://www.cguhsd.org/CTE.aspx.
