Curtis Maroney of Casa Grande Union High School was recognized Tuesday, April 4, as the CGUHSD’s Career & Technical Education Student of the Month during the district’s Governing Board meeting. He was nominated by his CTE Marketing Teacher, David Carter. "Curtis is in his third year of our Marketing program at CGUHS. Curtis is a phenomenal and integral part of our program. He achieves top grades, excels in all areas of our program, and has a wonderful personality. He is easy to get along with, easy to work with, and a positive influence on his classmates. His work ethic is a teacher’s and employer’s dream. I would love to have a classroom full of students of his caliber. Curtis excels in our Student Based Enterprise, the DECA Store. He knows all job positions and easily trains younger students in how to complete their duties. Curtis is a pleasure to work with and an asset to our program!” Curtis’ parents are Mr. & Mrs. Dustin Maroney of Casa Grande, Arizona. Over 1,600 students are enrolled in thirteen different Career & Technical Education programs throughout the Casa Grande Union High School District. Each month, a different CTE program nominates a deserving student for this honor. For past recipients, visit www.cguhsd.org/CTE.aspx.
