Melissa Bolivar Mendoza (VGHS) was recognized Tuesday, February 7, as one of the Career & Technical Education (CTE) Students of the Month at the district’s Governing Board meeting. Melissa was nominated by her CTE Early Childhood Education teacher, Mrs. Cassandra Yeo. “This is Melissa’s third year in Early Childhood Education. She is always on time and willing to do whatever is needed in the preschool. Melissa is kind and generous to her fellow classmate and favorite among our preschoolers. She is morning snack maker in the preschool and is great at making our morning run smoothly. Melissa is also serving as Vice President in our Early Childhood Education FCCLA chapter. We have been working really hard to meet our chapter goals. Melissa is always willing to do what it takes. Melissa, thank you for being such a big part of our successful year. We are so blessed to have you part of our program.” Melissa’s parent is Ms. Cecilia Lujan of Casa Grande, Arizona. Over 1,600 students are enrolled in thirteen different Career & Technical Education programs throughout the Casa Grande Union High School District.
